Research interests.

 

Current research interests include: quantum adsorption and adsorption of gases & vapors; adsorption of liquid phase; new catalysts for separation of ortho-, meta- and para-xylen based on new types of zeolites and natural sorbents at Moscow State University (MSU) and Moscow State Academy of Fine Chemical Technology (MSAFCT); new methods of producing of silicagel and zeolites from “zero-zols”; surface phenomena; surfactants; chemical thermodynamics; surface phenomena in membranes; micro emulsions; hemosorbents and enterosorbents based on activated carbon; new activated carbons from vegetable materials and catalysts based on them, new technologies of producing graphite materials; catalysts for heterogeneous processes (oxidation, vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride synthesis etc).

Educational Background

 

1973-1980 Assistant professor and reader at Hanoi State University of Technology at the chair of kinetics and catalysis.

1980-1982 Chief production engineer and designer of commercial production of activated carbon supported catalysts made for vinylchloride synthesis.

1982-1986 Assistant professor at Hanoi University of Technology, elaboration of the manual “Kinetics and Catalysis”. Head of the State Program on developing of new catalysts of reforming based on synthetic and natural zeolites.

1986-1990 Senior research, head of investigations on kinetics and catalysis in Kishinev and Kharcov Universities, builder of a pilot plant for determination of the parameters of solids and sorbents.

1990-1998 Senior research in the field of catalysis and adsorption at MSU and MSAFCT.

Since 1999 Professor at Moscow State University and Moscow State Academy of Fine Chemical Technology. Leading scientific researcher in the field of catalysis and adsorption, namely of new generation of catalysts for vinyl acetate and vinyl chloride synthesis as well as catalysts for oxidation based on carbon sorbents.

At present head of State program on removal of microelements: Mn, Sn, Fe, Zn, Os and ions Na+, K+, Cl-, F- from water and wine materials and the leading specialist in the state program “Catalysts and catalytic technologies of new generation at MSAFCT”.

Since 1998 Has been heading intensive researches on new catalysts for separation of ortho-, meta- and para-xylene based on new types of zeolites and natural sorbents at MSAFCT. Present scientific interests are also directed to adsorption and surface phenomena at MSAFCT.

Review

 

Hoang Kim Bong - Professor, academician of Russian academy of science and IEA, head of Scientific-research center “ADSORPTION”. Hoang Kim Bong began his higher education in Kishinev State University. Since 1973 to 1985 Hoang Kim Bong read lectures and at the same time held the position of head of laboratory “Adsorption and surface phenomena” at Hanoi polytechnic university being as well superior technologist and designer of activated carbon production. In 1986-250 tons of these carbons were used in fighting fire at Chernobyl disaster. In 1991-1994 Hoang Kim Bong developed a new technology of production new generation of carbon sorbents and catalysts with superior characteristics, and collaboration with Ukrainian scientist a new technology for production carbon hemosorbent was introduced. In 2002-2003; 2005-2010 Hoang Kim Bong took part in the International Moldo-Ukrainian commission on quality control of carbon sorbent of medical destination. Hoang Kim Bong has read lectures on “Adsorption theory” at France. Turkey, Swiss, Byelorussia universities and the Academy of Ukraine. Hoang Kim Bong has been scientific advisor for 9 PHD, 70 engineers, master and baccalaureates science degree holders. He has published 200 papers and scientific reports. Got 14 patents in Russia and abroad and edited 5 scientific manuals and a book of problems in physical chemistry (coauthor Pusniak A.N. in 1987, Kishinev). In 1998-2009 Hoang Kim Bong took part in International scientific conferences on catalysis and adsorption in USA, UK, Canada, Germany, Bulgaria, Poland, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Japan, South Korea, Thailand. Since 2002 Hoang Kim Bong has held the position of head leader and reposition executor of the State scientific-engineering programs of Ministry of industry and technologies of Russian Federation “Investigation and development of prior direction of civil destination” and Innovative projects “Echosorbent “ launched by Russian Fund of Technological Development. The work has been carried out aiming at ecologic security of Russian Federation. Hoang Kim Bong was awarded gold medal at VI International exposition-congress “High Technologies. Innovations. Investment”; three Diploma of First grade for revival of scientific-industrial Russia “Chmistry-2002. Echology-2002”, “Moscow scientific city-2003”. Partners: Moscow State University; Sorbonne University (France); Switzerland University; Byelorussia University and Ukraine national of Academy of science.
